Quick! Which car holds the record for the most miles driven?

Dear Volvo Fam,

I'm introducing something new.

This is my first monthly newsletter. In case you didn’t see the welcome email, I’ll be sending you 1 email a month with a Volvo fact, a couple of car memes, and some interesting news in the auto world (if there is any).

I’ll also share with you the prize of the month (cool Volvo merch!) that each of you will automatically be enrolled to win.

I can tell you’re already looking for the ‘unsubscribe’ button in fear of being flooded with the too-good-to-be-true national lease ‘specials’ and the trade-in-your-car-for-a-new-one-and-keep-your-payment with $10,000 down pitch.

But don’t worry…

These emails will include ZERO sales pitches, advertising, or desperate pleas to help me hit quota. I’m only doing these to add value and entertainment to your Volvo ownership experience.

Enough intro.

I know you're already wondering…

"Where's the fact, memes, tips, and most importantly the prize?"

Let's get into it...

Fact:

A Volvo P1800 driven by a man named Irv Gordon, earned the Guinness Book of World Records for having the most miles driven. The Volvo was bought in 1966 and has driven over 3 MILLION miles; the equivalent of 125 trips around the world or 7 round trips to the moon. ‌‌

According to Irv, his Volvo used:

107,400 gallons of gasoline

3,316 quarts of motor oil

829 oil filters

464 spark plugs

156 tires

29 sets of brake pads

29 fan belts

4 sets of shock absorbers

3 water pumps

3 generators

By the way, I did the math on how much that gas would cost with today’s prices ($3.59).

$ 385,566!!!

wow

Please don't try and beat this record in a lease...

Memes of the Month

Now let's get serious and analyze some data

Check out this beautiful graph showing current inventory availability amongst manufacturers.

Historically, a 60-day supply has been considered normal and ideal. Now what does this mean for you? Well nothing, but I guess it’s interesting to see!

Look at how great Volvo’s supply chain and manufacturing team is doing!

This month’s giveaway:

Volvo Eco-Friendly Inverted Umbrella

The rainy season is coming. Keep yourself dry with this Eco-friendly, sustainable, AND inverted 48" umbrella made from 9 recycled plastic bottles, stainless steel frame, and fiberglass ribs, as well as a bamboo handle.

Volvo has a great collection of accessories and lifestyle products that I'm excited to share with you each month. In next month's email, I will announce the winner and ship the item to, hopefully, you!

I gotta go, my manager is yelling at me to sell more cars. Until next time, remember to remote start your car when it's hot, drive safe, and enjoy your beautiful Volvo.

Nothing but the best,

Kai
